Loving this, although I’d like to read some details - how the decks were linked, and what decks were used.

It’s when you see something like this you remember the horrors of analogue videotape. Crazy rainbow stripes and things. Bleh!

Most of the pictures in this gallery are just manga fantasies, but I like this one. Looks like a still from a movie. (via)

This Is Just Plain Wrong of the Day: This is the actual logo of The Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research —an organization dedicated to “creatively address[ing] critical issues facing the child welfare system.”

Here’s a critical child welfare system issue worth addressing: What on Earth is going on in the Field Center’s logo?

Sometimes you just need a good, simple, flat pattern in Photoshop. A plain ol’ grid, ot something to give the design a bit of textural “oomph” but without the cheesiness of a full-on seamless photo. Presenting Flatterns, pixely patterns I made just for you.

You can load them in Photoshop by adding a Pattern Overlay style to a layer, then clicking the pattern button, then in the menu options (behind the little corner arrow in a circle) choosing Load Pattern.

I may add new patterns as I think of them; I’ll keep you posted. Hope you like ‘em and use ‘em!

I haven’t seen a machinima this compelling before. It’s a story you would expect a FPS gamer to really enjoy, but it actually manages to pack some emotional weight too. Very impressive. (via gamingbolt)
